Contact the city, district or unitary council responsible for the property to ask about its rating-unit or valuation record. If you are unsure which council covers the place, use the Local Government Commission’s guidance and follow the ‘Identifying your Council’ link to the Stats NZ Geographic Boundary Viewer. LINZ publishes the national composite; that does not make LINZ the source of every local rating record.
